Beech tree house, private commission, 2015
I designed and built this tree house deep in the forest to feel close to the nature. It is very much a family experience as well as a place for some peaceful moments.
The main structure is built with oak, the floor is larch plank and the ceiling underneath between the beams consists of hazel sticks covered in traditional cob. The roof is wide cut wavy edged larch board. Overlapped cut log rounds make a staircase to the first floor.
