Quarryman's cabin, RHS Chelsea Flower Show 1998, Gold award
This charming cabin was made in an Adirondack style for a Chelsea Flower Show garden, using reclaimed and natural materials. The garden won a gold award.
The Quarryman's cabin was beautifully positioned on the edge of a pool with a woodland and meadow behind it and a stream on each side. David Williams and I took pride in building the cabin from scratch, using reclaimed materials. The roof was made with oak bark shingles and there were many other details which combined to make both the cabin and the gold-winning garden quite magical.
