Oak banqueting bridge, Private commission 2019
This bridge was designed to host a banqueting table. It spans the river Verkeån, in a beutiful natural setting in a forest in the south of Sweden.
The brief was for the bridge to accommodate a party of 12 people and to blend into the surroundings.
I made the bridge from oak branches and larch planks for the base. The bridge spans 8 metres across the lively little river, and it is 4 metres wide.
I built four little seats, one in each corner, for each member of the family.
